POSTPONED
Due to the growing severity of the COVID-19 outbreak and our concern for the health and wellness of our guests, we are postponing our TRICKY TRAY event until the spring of 2021. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we sincerely hope everyone will be able to join us on the rescheduled date.
St. Rose of Lima Early Childhood Center must exclude children, staff, parents and guardians from school if they:
Are showing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, such as fever, cough or shortness of breath.
Have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 in 14 days. (within 6 feet for 10 minutes or more) or
If anyone in their household has symptoms of respiratory illness (e.g. fever, cough, shortness of breath).
Health Screening at Entry
Children and staff will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms prior to entering or being admitted to the center each day.
Daily temperature and symptom check of staff and children will be done upon entry.
We will inquire if medications were used to lower the child’s temperature.
Parents will drop off and pick up outside of school.
The use of masks will be required at entry points for parents and staff.
Implement Group Size Changes and Room Arrangement
(including outdoor space)
Children will be grouped in sizes of 6, 8 or 10 (depending on age and ratio) with one or two designated teachers or caregivers throughout the day (whenever possible). The groups will remain together throughout the day, including outside time, mealtime and opening and closing. This procedure is for your child’s safety and to limit group exposure.
Provide individual sensory bins for water, playdoh, etc. for toddlers.
Communication and Training
Signs will be posted around the school as a reminder of procedures.
Procedures will be supported and reinforced daily.
Staff training will be on-going.
Cleaning/Disinfecting Procedures
Reinforce handwashing procedures
Place toys in a bin after children play with them (to be sanitized later).
Dedicate an assistant to cleaning throughout the day (light switches, doorknobs, telephones and other “high touch areas”)
Continue daily evening cleaning and disinfecting.
Install new sensory motion soap dispensers.
Disinfect outside toys several times a day.
PRESCHOOL & PRE-KINDERGARTEN
Each day we strive to meet our goal of nurturing children through all aspects of development - emotional, social, physical, intellectual and spiritual, in a happy and warm environment. Stimulated to learn through self-discovery, children ages 12 months through Pre-K, are given the opportunity to realize their full creative potential in full or half day settings.
Our facility is fully equipped with ipads, SMART boards, outdoor playground, indoor air-conditioned gym, safety features and more.
From our Toddlers (12 months) to our Pre-School (3 years old) and Pre-Kindergarten (4 years old) and Young 3's programs (2 ½ and toilet trained) we are designed to build skills and confidence. We encourage the development of each child's critical thinking skills, creativity, self-expression, imagination and motor coordination, through self-discovery.
